What We Believe
1. The Authority of Scripture
We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments combined constitute the Holy Bible.
II Timothy 3:15-17, I Thessalonians 2:13, II Peter 1:21
2. The Holy Trinity
We believe that there is one God, Eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
St. John 4:24, 10:30, II Corinthians 13:14
3. The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in
His virgin birth;
His sinless life;
His vicarious and atoning death;
His bodily resurrection;
His ascension to the right hand of God the Father Almighty
His personal future return to this earth in power and great glory to rule over the nations.
St. Luke 1:27, 24:4-7; St. John 2:11, Hebrews 7:25 & 26
We believe that Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, was given by God as a sacrifice for the sins of all men. Christ died on the cross to mend the broken relationships which were caused by man’s sin of disobedience. This severed relationship between God and man may be restored into perfect harmony through belief in Jesus Christ.
St. John 3:3; Romans 10:9, 10, 13
5. Divine Healing
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
Isaiah 53:4 & 5, Matthew 8:16 & 17, James 5:14-16
We believe sanctification is when a believer renounces the desire to live for self and desires to live totally for the glory of God. Christ indeed becomes Lord of your life.
I Thessalonians 5:23; Acts 15:8 & 9
7. Baptism of the Holy Ghost
We believe that all believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father – the Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
8. Resurrection/The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ to receive His believers into heaven and eternal life. The time of His return is unknown but may be at any moment. This is the glorious hope of all God’s children.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18; St. John 14:1-3; Revelations 20:11-15
9. Gifts of the Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit has given spiritual gifts to all believers for the purpose of building up the body of Christ and bringing glory to God. The gifts are exercised in love and emphasize the need for unity in the body of Christ.
I Corinthians 12:4-18, 21-25; Ephesians 4:11-16
